History of Featured Gear

Featured Gear is a set of Exotic items shown in a 'Featured Gear' section of the Exotics tab in the Collections menu. Featured Gear is often a drop source from Portal activities.

Avant Garde

Avant Garde is a Portal player stake that restricts a loadout to New Gear. The stake gives a moderate score bonus, though it is technically not worth using over Equipment Locked. Some 2025 guides describe the restriction as Featured Gear rather than New Gear.
