History of Fated Deepsight

Overview

Fated Deepsight is a weekly Vault of Glass quest offered by Suraya Hawthorne in the Tower. Bungie’s 13 February 2025 patch notes state that the pursuit is once per week per account and guarantees a Deepsight weapon; the archived quest data says the required objective is completing every raid encounter. Bungie support replies in July 2026 acknowledge a known bug where some players cannot acquire or resolve it through Hawthorne. These dated sources establish the pursuit and reported issue, not a guarantee that it is currently claimable for every account.

Walkthrough

1. Check Hawthorne’s vendor inventory in the Tower Bazaar for Fated Deepsight. In the June 2026 Tower layout, a guide reports the quest may appear on her second page.
2. Complete all five Vault of Glass encounters: Confluxes, Oracles, Templar, Gatekeepers and Atheon. The game tracks each encounter objective separately.
3. Return to Hawthorne and claim the reward. If the vendor or quest details show it as complete but the quest cannot be acquired or turned in, Bungie support had documented this as a known issue by July 2026; this guide does not assume a workaround.

Rewards and related unlocks

Bungie’s February 2025 patch notes describe a guaranteed Deepsight weapon once per account per week. Completing this weekly quest also tracks the For the Bird Triumph. Separately, Bungie’s June 2026 Monument of Triumph announcement says Chatterwhite can be purchased after completing a weekly Hawthorne Deepsight quest; it is a vendor unlock, not the quest’s direct weapon payout.
