History of Expert Authorization Override

Overview

Expert Authorization Override is a weapon mod for Vexcalibur, the Exotic Glaive. It is the reward for the third quest in the node.OVRD.AVALON chain from Season of Defiance, given at the War Table (see Vexcalibur Expert Authorization Override). Equipping it replaces the basic authorization mod in Vexcalibur's mod slot.

Effect

With the mod equipped, Vexcalibur damage can destroy invulnerable Override Nodes in node.OVRD.AVALON. Destinypedia describes it as an improved authorization mod that unlocks hidden secrets in the exotic mission, giving access to deeper parts of the Vex network.

Acquisition

• Complete Vexcalibur Expert Authorization Override at the War Table in the H.E.L.M. The quest awards the mod and a Defiant Engram.
• Quest steps: defeat Vex quickly while wielding Vexcalibur to earn the mod, equip it to Vexcalibur, solve a mystery in node.OVRD.AVALON and destroy Brakion, then return to the War Table.
