History of Essence of Servitude

Overview

Essence of Servitude is a legendary quest from Shadowkeep (introduced in Season of the Undying) on the Moon. Eris Morn's Lectern of Enchantment in Sanctuary sells Essences for Phantasmal Cores; each Essence is a non-expiring quest that you cleanse by completing objectives and then turn into a piece of gear using Nightmare Essence. It rewards Dream Breaker. Source guides do not give a time estimate.

Trivia

• Sources disagree on the Vex count: in-game data says 30, the Destiny 2 Wiki lists 100.
• Eris Morn: "In many ways, we all serve a greater power..."
