History of Eris's Apartment

Eris's Apartment is a location in The Last City. Its Hive portal leads to Eris's throne world. From the middle platform there, drop down to a hidden room with a chessboard that prompts "Pick up the King?" Interacting with the board enters the Unknown Antechamber puzzle.

Entering the puzzle requires collecting all 60 Chess Pieces scattered across the solar system, or joining a fireteam whose member already has all 60 and being promoted to Fireteam Leader. Once discovered, the Middlegame and Endgame variants can be launched from the Last City node in the Director. Endgame unlocks after completing the 27 Middlegame puzzles, or through a listed move sequence that skips them.
