History of Emerald Coast

Revision 23737 by archivist at 2026-10-10 08:57:02

The Emerald Coast is a Gambit arena in the European Dead Zone on Earth, first appearing in Forsaken and active through Season of the Drifter. It is an 8 player map centred on an old ruin holding the Bank, with ammo on flanking pillars, an invasion portal by the left wall and tunnels beneath. Zones: Trees, Ruins and Beach, with a crashed Cabal ship.

Overview

Gambit is the hybrid PvE/PvP mode introduced with Forsaken (September 4, 2018), in which two teams of four defeat enemies, bank motes and send Blockers to the other team before a Primeval boss fight. The Emerald Coast was one of its arenas, the only one set in the European Dead Zone.

Layout

  • Central ruin: holds the Bank; ammo spawns sit on the pillars flanking it and the invasion portal is nearby.
  • Underground tunnels: run beneath the ruin and are a place to hide from enemies or from the Invader.
  • Trees: the rocky left side, with many trees.
  • Ruins: the upper section, with two ruined houses.
  • Beach: the right side, a small coast with a destroyed Cabal ship that crashed into the sand.

Players spawn at the southern end and push north.

How to play it
