History of Echo Mesa

Echo Mesa is a destination on Io, the moon of Jupiter, where the Traveler did its final terraforming before the Collapse.

Overview

The destination opens after the Sacrilege mission. Destinypedia lists it among the appearances of Season of Arrivals and Season of the Worthy.

History and availability

Io was one of five destinations (Titan, Io, Mars, Mercury and the Leviathan) removed into the Destiny Content Vault with Destiny 2: Beyond Light on 10 November 2020, and Echo Mesa is listed among the vaulted destinations. On 21 September 2026 Bungie announced that vaulted destinations will be restored eventually, but no date or season has been given.
