History of ENTRY 9 - Heretical Flesh

Overview

ENTRY 9 - Heretical Flesh is a triumph in Destiny 2 tied to the Captain's Log entry of the same name. The entry is a Captain's Log reading added in Season of the Chosen on 16 February 2021. Narrated by a bound, dormant "empty vessel" whose voice is tied to Akriis, a fallen Eliksni king described as dead. A storm and whispers from Fikrul, the Barons and the Kells reach the vessel, and a buried voice commands it to arise. The Glykon's spine breaks, the Scorn cross into Nothing, and through the Locus they obey the whisper: "Meet Salvation." A second margin note comes from a writer who patched into a scanner array to listen to Qinziq's feed.

How to complete

Captain's Log entries like this one were unlocked by completing the Presage Exotic mission each week, according to Destinypedia. Presage needs the quest The Voice on the Other Side first. The Destiny 2 Wiki says Presage moved into the Destiny Content Vault with The Witch Queen and was slated to return in Season 22 as part of an Exotic mission rotator. Those sources are dated, so check the current rotator before planning. Each weekly Presage completion also dropped one Dead Man's Tale per character.
