History of EDZ Engrams

EDZ Engrams are the faction engrams earned from the EDZ (the European Dead Zone) in Year 1 of Destiny 2. Players earned EDZ Tokens by completing activities and looting chests in the EDZ, then turned them in to Devrim Kay in Trostland to raise their standing. Each rank-up awarded an EDZ Engram.

Each EDZ Engram holds one weapon or one armor piece, not both, plus one shader and one extra reward. Weapons included faction guns such as Lincoln Green. Armor was a wildwood piece matching the player's class. The shader was either Dead Zone Foliage or Dead Zone Bark, and the extra reward was either Legendary Shards or a faction-agnostic legendary weapon or armor.

Status

Guides from 2017 to 2019 describe this system, and the Destiny Game Wiki still describes Devrim Kay's rank-ups in the present tense, last edited in October 2026. Whether the faction is still being actively rewarded has not been confirmed by a current source, so check the in-game vendor before planning around it.
