History of Dredging Up Secrets I

Overview

Dredging Up Secrets I is a Triumph worth 5 Triumph Score. It asks you to unlock and enter a portal to reach a chest hidden deep within the Mausoleum. It belongs to the secret-hunting content of Episode: Heresy.

How to complete

The Mausoleum has two routes to its secret chests:

1. Blighted Cabal. Shoot the blight holding the suspended Cabal combatants. They become four Taken enemies called Dire Phalanx, always in the same spots. Defeating the last one reveals a Secret Chest.
2. Portal route. Go to the bridge and find the glowing orange area with an opening. Defeat the Dark Transfer Shrieker inside to open a portal to the Blighted Cysts. The Cysts hold an altar and chests. Using the altar damages you but opens one nearby chest.

The second route is the one that uses a portal, matching the triumph text.
