Overview

Dreaded Venture is a Kinetic-slot sniper with an aggressive frame, meaning high damage at the cost of high recoil. Its flavor text is "Not to be undertaken lightly." The D2 Wiki lists its curated roll as Hammer-Forged Rifling, Accurized Rounds, Explosive Payload and Snapshot Sights, while a search-result summary of another database listed Hip-Fire Grip as the last perk, so check the in-game roll if it matters. Random rolls can include Triple Tap, Ambitious Assassin, Rampage and Outlaw among the traits, with secondary traits such as Auto-Loading Holster and Threat Detector. Because it is a Kinetic sniper with those damage perks, it was recommended in PvE as a cheaper alternative to the exotic Sole Survivor.

Acquisition

Complete Gambit matches and earn rank-up packages from the Drifter; it can drop on match completion. The D2 Wiki gives it as a Forsaken-era Gambit weapon from Season 4. The source does not say whether it has been reissued, is craftable, or has an Adept version, and it was reported as sunset for modern endgame, so its current status should be confirmed in game.
