History of Dragon's Breath Catalyst

Overview

The Dragon's Breath Catalyst is a Triumph in Destiny 2 tied to the Exotic rocket launcher Dragon's Breath, which came with Season of the Wish (Season 23). The triumph asks for 400 defeats with the weapon.

How to complete

Equip Dragon's Breath and defeat 400 targets with it. Kills made by the weapon count toward the total, whatever the activity. The triumph tracks defeats only, so the Calibration Data and catalyst steps below are separate.

Catalyst

The catalyst comes from the Exotic quest An Old Flame, which you take from Banshee-44 at the Tower. The quest has two objectives:

1. Defeat 50 enemies affected by Scorch.
2. Defeat 5 bosses affected by Scorch.

Completing the quest drops the catalyst. The catalyst's upgrade unlocks at 150 weapon kills and 200 Calibration Data with Dragon's Breath. Calibration Data is earned by completing activities while the weapon is equipped, so run activities with it equipped to build both counts at once.

The catalyst's perk is Pyromancer: the weapon refuels faster, and defeated targets periodically drop Firesprites.

Tips

• Dragon's Breath can be claimed from the Season of the Wish Season Pass, or at level 35 on the free track.
• Kills for the Scorch quest and the weapon-kill counts are separate, so track both.
