History of Divinity

Divinity is an Arc Trace Rifle Exotic introduced in Year 3 (the Shadowkeep era), earned through the Garden of Salvation raid.

Overview

Divinity is a team support weapon. Its perk Judgement creates a weakening field around the targeted enemy, and Penance makes weakened targets take a bonus damage burst from the fireteam. Sustained hits build this effect rather than maximising solo damage.

Acquisition

The quest Divine Fragmentation (per Shacknews and Prima Games):

  1. Defeat Zeteon, Redemptive Mind at the Vex gate on the Moon to receive an Exotic Engram that starts the quest.
  2. Analyse hidden Vex cores in three Nessus Lost Sectors: The Orrery, Ancient Haunt and The Conflux.
  3. Defeat 120 Sol Divisive Vex.
  4. Take the core to Eris Morn and empower it at the Lectern of Enchantment using 30 Phantasmal Fragments.
  5. Complete the Garden of Salvation raid, including the laser puzzles and the final boss, in one sitting; open the second chest to receive Divinity.

Sources vary slightly on step details; Divinity is also now obtainable from the Exotic Archive at the Monument to Lost Lights once unlocked (unverified).

Catalyst

Added in June 2026, the catalyst grants Jolting Feedback (repeated damage applies Jolt, faster while Amplified) and Focused Fury (precision damage over part of the magazine grants bonus damage; reload or stow resets the count). The catalyst objective is 700 target defeats. PC Gamer’s June 10, 2026 table lists Garden of Salvation or the Consecrated Mind encounter in Pantheon as sources, not ritual playlists or Exotic Orders.
