History of Devious Thievery

Overview

Devious Thievery is a triumph in Destiny 2. It requires the completion of the "Devious Thievery" challenge mode, a King's Fall raid challenge on the Warpriest encounter. Completing this triumph awards 10 score.

How to complete

To obtain this triumph, the player must complete the "Devious Thievery" challenge mode during the Warpriest encounter of King's Fall.

1. Stand on the three plates in front of the Warpriest. The glowing statue behind them shows the activation order. The last player to activate a plate receives the Brand buff, which lets everyone damage the Warpriest and runs on a timer.
2. A Taken Knight spawns during the fight. Kill it to drop the Brand Claimer buff.
3. The player who picks up the Brand Claimer must take the Brand from its holder before the Brand Claimer buff has been held for more than 5 seconds. Holding it longer fails the challenge.
4. The Brand holder moves the team toward the side where the next Knight spawned, so the Claimer can reach them in time. The Claimer waits until the Brand holder's timer is down to about 7 seconds, kills the Knight, then takes the Brand.
5. Repeat with each new Knight until the Warpriest dies.

Tips: call out where the Knight spawns early so the team can move before the timer runs out. Decide together whether to keep damaging while moving or stay put until the last seconds. Expect more movement than usual, especially on the left side of the room. Keep retrying if the challenge fails.

Rewards: the Normal-mode challenge gives an extra chest with Pinnacle loot. The Master-mode challenge gives Adept (Harrowed) King's Fall weapons, including ones that do not drop from the Warpriest.
