History of Desperation

Overview

Desperation is the Exotic trait of the Necrochasm, from Season 22. Reloading after a precision final blow, or a final blow from a Cursed Thrall explosion, raises the weapon's rate of fire and improves stability and aim assist.

The rate of fire rises from the base 720 RPM to 900 RPM while Desperation is active, according to Destinypedia. The sources give no value for the stability or aim assist bonus, or for how long the effect lasts.

Synergies

Desperation is a spin on Desperado. It pairs with Cursebringer, the Necrochasm's other exotic perk: precision final blows trigger a Cursed Thrall explosion, and final blows from those explosions refill the magazine. That reload sets up Desperation. Because the Cursed Thrall explosions spread poison, the combo also works with Necrotic Grips.
