History of Desperate Measures (triumph)

Overview

The Desperate Measures triumph requires players to complete the Desperate Measures mission on any difficulty. This mission serves as the eighth and final story mission of the Lightfall expansion. Completing this triumph awards 15 score.

How to complete

To earn this triumph, players must finish the Desperate Measures mission. The mission takes place in Neomuna and involves defending the city against a siege by Shadow Legion forces. Key objectives include disabling the barrier by destroying generators, eliminating anti-air guns, and securing defensive turrets. Players must also destroy adversarial tanks using a satellite target-painter and defend the vault entrance against multiple waves of enemies.

Throughout the mission, players will encounter various Cabal units, including War Beasts, Psions, Legionaries, Phalanxes, Incendiars, Gladiators, Centurions, Colossi, Scorpions, Goliath Tanks, and Threshers. Additional threats include Dread Tormentors and weekly mission champions such as the Barrier Colossus and Unstoppable Incendior.

The mission features two Imprint of Nezarec encounters and concludes with a boss fight against Calus, the Disciple. Allies in the mission include Neomuni Defense Turrets and Imperial Cabal forces led by Empress Caiatl. Players must regroup with Caiatl on the wall before the final onslaught and ultimately defend the Veil to secure victory.
