History of Derealize Exotic Mission

Derealize is a Season 26 Exotic mission in Episode: Heresy, Act I. It was released early in the second week of Act I with minimal announcement. It unlocks the Barrow-Dyad, an Exotic Strand submachine gun whose intrinsic perk, Panic Response, builds Blight from damage and converts stored Blight into tracking Blighted Seekers on reload.

Overview

The mission requires most of the steps of the The Taken Path Exotic quest, which include finding a Taken Blight in The Nether, collecting Taken Osseous Fragments, completing three Curse challenges (Sorrow's Harbor on the Moon, Nightmare Hunt: Pride on the Moon, and the Hallowed Grove Lost Sector in the European Dead Zone), and activating three Hive statues in The Nether and defeating the minibosses they spawn.

Once these are done, the mission appears as a node under The Nether activities in the Director from The Last City. The recommended power level is 2,015.

Rewards

Completing Derealize unlocks the Barrow-Dyad, the follow-up Dyadic Ascension quest (more Barrow-Dyad traits and catalysts), 100 Taken Mastery, and crafting reagents for the Tonic Laboratory.
