Overview

Deep Engrams are the Legendary engrams of Season of the Deep, which was Season 21 in 2023. They are stored on the Sonar Station vendor screen rather than in your engram inventory, and the count is checked with the Engram Tracker item. Decoding turns an engram into a random seasonal piece of gear, while focusing lets you choose a specific one.

Acquisition

  • Each Sonar Station rank increase grants one Deep Engram.
  • Salvage and Deep Dive activities can drop them. Redeeming Salvage Keys and Deep Dive Keys at the end of those activities can improve the chance.
  • Turning in fish to the H.E.L.M. aquarium can yield engrams.
  • Upgrades add more chances: Deep Challenger gives an extra engram from activities after the weekly season challenge, Deep Attraction adds a chance from any activity, and Forgotten Treasures and Deep Sea Locksmith add chances on key drops.

Decoding and focusing

Claiming an engram from the vendor decodes it immediately into a seasonal weapon or armor piece. Possible weapons include A Distant Pull, Different Times, Rapacious Appetite, Targeted Redaction, Thin Precipice and Until Its Return. Armor comes from the NPA Weir-Walker set for Titan, Hunter and Warlock.

Focusing costs Deep Engrams, which are consumed on purchase, and needs upgrades unlocked through the Season of the Deep seasonal challenges. Deep Armor Focusing lets you target individual high-stat pieces. Deep Weapon Focusing lets you target a Season of the Deep or Reckoning weapon you already own. Deepsight Salvaging unlocks guaranteed red-border focusing once per week.
