History of Decrypted Cache Key

Overview

Decrypted Cache Key opens the Wave 7 boss chest in Escalation Protocol on Mars. The chest yields an IKELOS weapon or an Escalation Protocol armor piece.

Acquisition

Collect 7 Rasputin Key Fragments from Heroic Strikes, Heroic Adventures on Mars, Nightfall Strikes and Raids. Exchange 7 fragments with Ana Bray for an Encrypted Cache Key with seven locked segments. Each completed Escalation Protocol wave lights one segment, and when all seven are lit the key becomes a Decrypted Cache Key.

Status

Sources differ on whether the key is strictly required for the boss chest, since an alternate reward path is listed. One source also reports Escalation Protocol content as vaulted, with keys no longer obtainable, so check the current state in-game.
