History of Darkblade Kelgorath

Darkblade Kelgorath is a Hive commander serving Xivu Arath. After he failed to stop the exorcism in the Dreaming City, Xivu Arath judged him at a ceremony on Mars, had his Cleaver reforged into a giant Hive Axe, and gave him the title of Darkblade.

In Season of the Seraph, Xivu Arath ordered him to claim Mars and its Warsat network. He led Hive forces to the Hellas Basin and guarded the vault holding Charlemagne's submind data, where a Guardian fireteam defeated him. Kelgorath later returned as Taken from Bones and, in The Final Shape, as Vestige of Failure.
