History of Dark Fragments

Dark Fragments are a currency of the Dreaming City, introduced with Destiny 2: Forsaken. Guides call them one of the most valuable currencies in the Dreaming City.

Uses

Dark Fragments are needed to take on Petra Venj's bounties, and she sells items mostly for them.

Sources

Players earn them from Petra Venj's bounties and pursuits, from public event rewards (especially Heroic versions such as the Rift Generator and Taken Blights), from Ascendant Challenge rewards and Ascendant chests, from Blind Well rewards, from Lost Sector chests, and from completing Patrols.
