History of Dark Descent

Overview

Dark Descent is a Legendary Trait from Season 8. The further a Void orb falls, the more powerful its detonation becomes.

It is a single-weapon trait on Deathbringer.

Mechanics

The initial shot flies for about 6.5 seconds before it detonates on its own. The sources checked do not give damage or blast-size values for the orb's fall distance.

Catalyst

The Dead Weight catalyst speeds up how quickly Dark Descent reaches its maximum strength.
