History of Danger Zone

Overview

Danger Zone is a Trait that increases a weapon's blast radius while combatants surround the wielder. While it is active, the weapon deals significantly less damage to the wielder. The Destiny Game Wiki lists it as a Season 14 trait.

It rolls on about two dozen weapons, including Blowout, Wild Style and Koraxis's Distress.

Numbers

The perk text gives no numeric values. The sources checked do not confirm the exact blast radius increase or self-damage reduction.

Prospector catalyst

Update 9.7.0, dated June 9, 2026, gave The Prospector a Danger Zone catalyst perk, in addition to the weapon's existing stat increase.
