History of Crystocrene Cloak

Overview

Crystocrene Cloak is a Legendary Hunter Cloak piece (Hunter) of the Crystocrene armor set, an arctic expedition outfit from Destiny 2: Beyond Light themed for Europa. Destinypedia credits the look to hockey padding and soldiers in winter gear, built for fighting the House of Salvation. The set comes in all three classes; this piece is the Hunter cloak version.

The set has a 4-piece bonus that grants Frost Armor while out of combat. Bungie permanently disabled that bonus in the Crucible after it was found to trigger during combat; it still works in PvE (GameFragger).

Acquisition

Pieces are unlocked through quests on Europa (see Europa Class) and then drop from activity completions on the moon (Destinypedia). Sources disagree on fine details, so check in-game for the current drop method.
