History of Crucible Engram

Overview

A Crucible Engram is a Legendary engram that Lord Shaxx grants each time a Guardian's Crucible rank goes up. It was formerly called Crucible Gear.

Decrypting and focusing

Claiming it from Lord Shaxx's vendor screen decrypts it immediately into a random Crucible weapon or armor piece from the current loot pool. A Guardian can instead spend it on a specific item through the Focused Decoding menu, where older armor sets appear under Legacy Gear. Focusing does not require claiming the engram first, and a piece must have been acquired at least once before it can be focused.
