History of Crimson

Overview

Crimson is an Exotic Kinetic Hand Cannon introduced in Curse of Osiris. Its intrinsic perk Banned Weapon fires three-round bursts (415 RPM, 8-round magazine), making it the only burst-fire hand cannon. Its Exotic trait Cruel Remedy heals you on kills and refills the magazine on precision kills. It resembles the Red Death pulse rifle.

Catalyst

Earned by precision kills with Crimson, which also masterworks it. It adds +18 Range (Destiny Game Wiki, whose page dates to 2020) and the perk To the Pain, per Destinypedia, which raises handling and aim assistance after taking damage. Those sources differ on details, so the catalyst text may be outdated.
