History of Copies of Copies

Copies of Copies is the Atraks-1 raid challenge in the Deep Stone Crypt raid (Destiny 2: Beyond Light).

How to complete

Normally the Replication debuff is shot off into space. For the challenge you must instead keep the debuffs for the whole encounter and never send an "Atraks-1 Replication" debuff into the airlock or space.

1. Start with four Guardians in space and two downstairs.
2. The upstairs team has a Scanner and an Operator plus two rotating DPS players.
3. The Operator shoots the Replication debuff off teammates before their timer expires.
4. After the first damage phase, the Scanner grabs the debuff and sends it downstairs; the DPS players move down to help the lower team through its damage phase.
5. The Guardian with the debuff moves upstairs to join the rotation. Repeat, finishing Atraks-1 at the Last Stand phase.

Warning: if a Guardian's timer reaches zero while holding the debuff, all Guardians die.

Rewards

GameRant says the challenge gives an extra loot drop at the end of the encounter. Search summaries also claim a higher initial Eyes of Tomorrow drop rate, but I could not open a source confirming that, so treat it as unconfirmed. Part of the Deep Stone Crypt triumphs.
