History of Chill Clip

Overview

Chill Clip is a Stasis trait introduced in Season 16. Direct hits with the top half of the magazine cause a detonation that slows nearby targets. It rolls on several Stasis weapons, including VS Chill Inhibitor (Grenade Launcher), Trachinus (Shotgun), Cold Comfort (Rocket Launcher), Liturgy (Grenade Launcher) and The When and Where (Rocket Launcher).

Synergies

The When and Where is the recommended Perk 1 for PvE, with Chill Clip as the main draw. It works with the seasonal mod Temporal Loader, which reloads the weapon from reserves when it damages slowed, frozen or suspended targets. The mod was only available for a single season, and Blueberries warned in July 2025 that the roll would lose value once the mod left the game.
