History of Cataphract GL3 (Adept)

Overview

Cataphract GL3 (Adept) is the Adept version of the Legendary Grenade Launcher Cataphract GL3. It uses the Strand element and the Adaptive Frame intrinsic, which gives a well-rounded, reliable grip. Its perk pool is shared with the regular Cataphract GL3 and includes the Quick Launch, Linear Compensator and Smart Drift Control launcher barrels, and magazine perks such as Spike Grenades and Sticky Grenades.

Adept versions carry the Adept frame stats and a different color scheme, and they are the only versions that can equip Adept mods. Masterworking an Adept weapon raises the masterworked stat further than a standard weapon.

Acquisition

Cataphract GL3 is earned by completing challenges in Trials of Osiris. The Adept version comes from the same activity: the Lighthouse chest offers Adept weapon rolls with odds based on the highest weekly win streak and the wins completed as a full fireteam, and a 7-win Flawless streak grants an Adept weapon. Pre-Heresy guides (2023) describe Adept weapons as earned by completing a Flawless card.
