History of Catalyst

Overview

Catalysts are modifiers introduced in the Warmind expansion that upgrade Exotic weapons, improving stats, adding bonus perks or raising magazine size. A catalyst is obtained from activities or a quest, and then unlocked by completing weapon-specific objectives such as precision kills. Each catalyst is tailored to its Exotic, for example the catalyst for Ace of Spades. Later weapons such as Buried Bloodline and Choir of One have catalyst quests of their own.
