History of Cabal Phalanx

The '''Cabal Phalanx''' is a shielded Cabal enemy. It first appeared in The Law of the Jungle and has returned in many Destiny 2 seasons and expansions.

Overview

Phalanxes carry an energy shield that they can expand to cover several Cabal soldiers. Guardians can walk through the expanded shield. Shooting the glowing icon at its center, or using a Suppressor Grenade, deactivates the shield and stuns the Phalanx for a few seconds.

Trivia

In Destiny, the shield was immune to all incoming damage. The Destinypedia article covers both games, so details from the first game may not match current Destiny 2 behavior.
