History of Cabal Bronto Cannon

Overview

The Cabal Bronto Cannon is a heavy weapon used by the Cabal that is classed as a portable siege cannon. It has semi-automatic fire and an infinite magazine.

It is the only Cabal weapon that deals Void damage. It is a direct-fire weapon that launches Void explosives, closer to a rocket launcher than to a rifle. Holding the trigger draws a metal rod in the back of the weapon, similar to a crossbow, and the barrels light up one by one from the outside in. A fully charged shot leaves with a bright purple glow, travels a long distance and explodes on impact. Experienced users time the charge to fire quick volleys.

Users

Centurions carry it most often, especially Blood Guard Centurions. High-ranking Legionaries and Psions occasionally carry it, and it has been seen once in the hands of a Phalanx. Red Legion Centurions use it, and it has replaced the Projection Rifle for most Centurions met since.

Appearances

It first appeared in Destiny 2 and has since shown up in Curse of Osiris, Warmind, Forsaken, The Witch Queen and Lightfall, among others.
