History of CENTESIS

CENTESIS is a lore triumph for the first entry of the lore book Triage, introduced in Season of the Haunted (2022). Completing the entry unlocks this triumph.

Lore

The entry depicts a scene at an Iron Lords encampment during the Dark Age. Zavala, serving as an Iron Lord with his Ghost Targe, and Safiyah, a caregiver managing a makeshift hospital for survivors, clash over priorities. Zavala proposes retaliatory strikes against the House of Devils, but Safiyah confronts him about the immediate needs of the wounded: medical supplies and shelter. She puts him to work treating patients, forcing him to witness the human cost of his military focus. The scene illustrates their philosophical tension: "We don't walk away from these things the way you do," Safiyah says, establishing the emotional foundation of their relationship that spans the entire Triage book.

Characters

• Commander Zavala: An Iron Lord favoring military action and retaliation
• Safiyah: A non-Guardian healer prioritizing humanitarian aid
• Targe: Zavala's Ghost, serving as a voice of moderation
