History of Boots of the Exile

Overview

Boots of the Exile are Legendary Leg Armor for the Hunter class, part of the Exile armor set released in Season 10 with Trials of Osiris as its source. The flavor text reads: "Many followed him when he left—if not with their feet, then with their hearts." —Fractal Scrolls

The Hunter Exile set is made of Cover of the Exile (helmet), Grips of the Exile (gauntlets), Vest of the Exile (chest), Boots of the Exile (legs) and Cloak of the Exile (cloak). Boots have no elemental affinity.

Acquisition

Boots of the Exile come from Trials of Osiris: the reward on the 3rd, 5th and 7th win, the chest given for a Flawless run, and Saint-14 Trials Engrams made by turning in Trials Tokens.

Trials armor from the Heresy-era system is earned from Lighthouse chests (repeatable Trials Armor x1 on each visit, plus a 3-win weekly streak reward), from challenges such as winning 50 rounds or seven games, and from the Flawless Passage chest after a 7-win streak. Armor only drops from engrams once it has been unlocked this way (Trials Engrams at Saint-14 also return previously collected Trials gear).
