History of Black Talon

Black Talon is an Exotic Void Sword in the Heavy slot, introduced with Destiny 2: Forsaken. The flavor text is attributed to the Crows of the Black Hull.

Overview

Its intrinsic perk, Crow's Wings, lets you press heavy attack twice to fire a heavy projectile cross combo that suppresses targets; hitting an already suppressed target spreads the suppression to nearby enemies. Other perks include Tireless Blade (sword ammo for powered kills), Tempered Edge and Heavy Guard.

Acquisition

• Exotic engrams: an extremely rare drop.
• Xûr: occasionally sold, per one wiki.

Catalyst

Reversal: blocking shots immediately after guarding increases Crow's Wings damage briefly; the masterworked version generates Orbs of Light on multikills and tracks kills. It drops from Strikes, Crucible and Gambit, and unlocks by defeating enemies with the sword. Mobalytics notes the catalyst's intended Void-debuff damage bonus had an unresolved bug at the time it was written.
