History of Better Late than Never

Better Late than Never is a Crucible triumph: "Breakthrough: Hack your opponent's vault in Sudden Death."

How it works

In Breakthrough, teams fight for a central zone, then deploy the Breaker to hack the enemy team's Vault. If time expires while a hack is in progress, the round goes to Sudden Death: play continues until the hack completes or the attackers lose all progress (GameRevolution).

How to complete

1. Queue Breakthrough (Crucible playlists and private matches, depending on current season availability).
2. Secure the Breaker and begin the hack late in the round so it is still unfinished when the timer ends.
3. Defend the hacker. Your team must finish the Vault hack during Sudden Death, not before it.
4. The attempt fails if the defenders clear the progress. Playing against a team that is slow to contest the hack helps. Splitting into a hack-escort group and a kill group, as GameRevolution suggests, is the practical approach.
