History of Bastion

Bastion is an Exotic Kinetic Fusion Rifle that uses Special ammo. Its flavor text is a quote from Saint-14.

Overview

Its intrinsic perk, Saint's Fists, charges to fire three spreads of Kinetic slugs. After a melee hit the weapon gains increased damage, reduced charge time and faster reload for a short time; hitting with most pellets of a burst boosts melee damage briefly. It has a breakthrough option that is strong against Unstoppable Champions.

Acquisition

• Exotic Archive / Monument to Lost Lights: currently purchasable from the Exotic Archive at the Tower; the older wiki lists the Monument to Lost Lights, which held Shadowkeep-era Exotics.
• Memento (historical): Season of Dawn reward from the Corridors of Time community quest (quest name "Memento" per one source). It is no longer available.

Catalyst

Added in June 2026, the catalyst grants Cast No Shadows: melee damage increases handling and loads a small amount of ammo from reserves. The catalyst objective is 400 Bastion target defeats. PC Gamer’s June 10, 2026 table lists Vanguard Ops, Crucible, Gambit, or Exotic Order payouts as acquisition sources.
