History of Balefire

Balefire is an Awoken device blending Darkness and Light, used by Guardians in Defiant Battlegrounds since Season of Defiance. It opens portals to the Ascendant Realm, disperses Blight and protects areas from the Shadow Legion Prison's Dark Fetor, channelling Mara Sov's power against the Shadow Legion and Taken. In play, players use its light to keep a safe zone.
