History of Azshrunah Ur-Nokru

Azshrunah Ur-Nokru (Azshrūnah ur-Nokru, the Sacrificed) is the final boss of The Blooming Deep, a Lost Sector in The Pale Heart. The boss is a Taken Knight: it fights like an ordinary Taken Knight and summons further Taken for reinforcements.

Overview

Azshrūnah first appeared in The Final Shape. In the third quest step of the expansion, The Message, Part III, the Guardian defeats the Taken forces it leads while Luzaku of the Lucent Brood creates a barrier around the fissure.

Encounter

At the start of the fight, and again when its health drops by about a third, Azshrūnah generates a Taken Blight and calls more Taken units. Defeating it unlocks the Lost Sector's cache code, which is how the rewards are collected.

Location

The Blooming Deep is occupied by Dread and Taken enemies. The boss waits at the end of the Lost Sector.
