History of Awakening

Overview

Awakening is a story mission from Destiny 2: Forsaken set in The Dreaming City. It follows A Hum of Starlight, which is started by speaking to Petra Venj at the Watchtower after the Forsaken campaign (the defeat of The Voice of Riven) is complete. Players go straight from A Hum of Starlight into Awakening, and finishing it unlocks full access to the Dreaming City. The mission is listed at Power 500, so it is trivial at endgame levels (original Forsaken-era value; sources are from 2018).

Encounters and mechanics

A short story mission with a linear fight through the Awoken Reef forces in the Dreaming City. I could not open a text walkthrough that detailed the encounters, so only the structure is confirmed.

Rewards

Unlocks the Dreaming City destination and its Lost Sectors, patrols and later the Blind Well.
