History of Ascendant Mysteries

Overview

Ascendant Mysteries are level-specific secrets in the Shattered Realm: Forest of Echoes mission. Queen Mara Sov gives an audio cue when you approach one. The Forest of Echoes has two.

Requirements

Both need True Sight and Barrier Breach. Barrier Breach unlocks after completing the mission once. It lets you pass Awoken barriers for 15 seconds, and True Sight makes floating structures appear for 30 seconds. Charging the beacon nearest a marker makes the marker solvable.

The mysteries

• Ascendant Mystery 1 (The Dark Ritual): at the Abbey of Whispers, escort a relic along True Sight paths to an Awoken statue. Dunking it spawns an Ascendant Knight. Defeating it produces a chest.
• Ascendant Mystery 2 (Born In Darkness): activate beacon 2, clear the Taken and Blights, then defeat the Devourered Ogre guarding a cave reached through a well. This spawns an Ascendant Chest.

The secrets are tied to Season 15 Triumphs and Seasonal Challenges. Enigmatic chests give gold loot.
