History of Ascendant Knights

Ascendant Knights are the enemies summoned in Haunted Sectors, the Festival of the Lost playlist. Fireteams of three run a corrupted Lost Sector and stand in summoning circles to spawn them, and the rituals spawn Ascendant Knights bearing pumpkin heads, which are called Headless Ones.

Defeating Headless Ones yields pumpkin bombs. Throwing them at the Haunted Sectors boss strips its immunity once it has become immune after losing a third of its health.
