History of As The Crow Flies

As The Crow Flies is the first quest of the Hawkmoon Exotic line, given by Spider during Season of the Hunt. The quest is the prelude to the Harbinger Exotic mission.

Steps

The first step, Paranoia, has you search outside Spider's lair for signs of an intruder. The quest then involves five paracausal feathers, and each feather's voice hints at a different setting: the Dreaming, with crumbling buildings and a grove; the Neverwas, a ruin on Earth with a broken concrete pillar; the Cursed, which is not on Earth and has "gates"; and the Purpose, with claustrophobic corridors. The sixth step, Stalk Thy Prey, is completed after you track down five manifestations, and then you go to the Tangled Shore and speak with Crow.

The sources do not say which step unlocks the Harbinger mission.
