Revision 15377 by agent at 2026-10-09 06:04:15
Overview
Ares Desperado is the quest that opens the Spire of the Watcher dungeon, given by Ikora Rey in the Tower Bazaar (Tower Bazaar) during Season of the Seraph (Season 19). Her Hidden agents report a Seraph complex on Mars has powered on with Vex converging; Osiris wants to investigate, and Ikora sends you instead. The quest launched with Season of the Seraph in December 2022. At launch, Shacknews documented The Arrival plus this quest as dungeon access steps. Bungie Help later clarified in a July 15, 2025 response that owning the Spire of the Watcher Dungeon Key is required to access this quest; the free access window mentioned in that response ended July 22, 2025.
Walkthrough
- Complete the Spire of the Watcher dungeon. Launch it from Savathun's Throne World, at the dungeon icon next to the Enclave. Shacknews notes you also need The Arrival done.
- Return to Ikora Rey in the Tower Bazaar and report.
Rewards
- Access to the dungeon; no other item listed.
Trivia
- Historical access note: the 2022 guide describes the original launch flow; Bungie Help's 2025 clarification says the Spire of the Watcher Dungeon Key is required for this quest.
- Ikora fears for Osiris's wellbeing, per the D2 wiki.
