History of Area Denial Frame

Overview

Area Denial Frame is a Grenade Launcher archetype. It is burst-fire, and each projectile creates a lingering pool on impact that deals damage over time. The pool is what makes the frame useful for area control, especially in Heresy and Portal activities.

Examples include Psychopomp, an Arc weapon from Heresy, and Motif-41, the Solar version obtained from Portal activities. The two share the same pool mechanic and differ mainly in element and source. Popularity and tier rankings on third-party sites shift with patches, so check current sources before choosing a roll.
