History of Andal Brask

Overview

Andal Brask was a human Hunter and the Hunter Vanguard before Cayde-6. He was Cayde-6's close friend and ran a crew with Shiro-4, escorting survivors back to the Last City, mapping lost sites and hunting Fallen raiders.

The Vanguard Dare

After the Hunter Vanguard post had sat empty for two years, Brask and Cayde-6 bet on who could kill the Fallen mercenary Taniks. The loser would take the post. Cayde-6 appeared to have killed Taniks, so Brask lost and took the Vanguard role, despite Cayde-6's objections.

Death

Taniks survived the encounter and later killed Brask on a mission. Cayde-6 then reluctantly took the Hunter Vanguard post in his friend's memory and wore his cloak.

Appearances

Brask is referenced across Destiny and Destiny 2 content, including Curse of Osiris and Forsaken. His first on-screen appearance is in Destiny: Fall of Osiris.
