History of Aim Assistance

Aim Assistance is a hidden weapon stat that widens the aim assist cone, the area in which bullet magnetism pulls shots toward a target. A higher value lets shots that barely miss still hit, and it makes chest hits more likely to register as headshots.

It is affected by Range, which defines how much help aim assist gives and where targeting bloom expands near maximum range. Stability also changes it: higher Stability makes shots more accurate despite aim assist and slows how quickly the aim assist cone shifts while firing. Aim assist becomes less active the more a weapon is fired.

Zoom extends the cone indirectly by increasing effective range. Reported accounts also credit the Targeting Adjuster with a small Aim Assistance bonus.
