History of A Spark of Hope

Overview

A Spark of Hope is the exotic quest for the Submachine Gun Riskrunner. It follows A Guardian Rises (ginx.tv notes finishing "The Disgraced" begins this quest) and is aimed at new players. Zavala, Ikora Rey and Devrim Kay guide you; expect one to two hours. The current version (Season 20 onward per the destinygamewiki title) differs from the original Season 8-era one, which had you meet Zavala and Ikora and clear three EDZ Lost Sectors.

Walkthrough

1. Pick up a New Light Kit from Ikora Rey in the Tower Bazaar.
2. Return to Commander Zavala in the Tower, claim "The Vanguard" Guardian Rank 2 objective, get your rank at the Tree and tell Zavala.
3. Return to Ikora Rey.
4. Find Devrim Kay in the EDZ at the church in Trostland.
5. Reclaim 50 map fragments by defeating Fallen or looting a Lost Sector chest in Trostland. Older guides name Terminus East, Widow's Walk and Atrium (or Scavenger's Den) as the sectors.
6. Return to Devrim Kay.
7. Complete the mission Risk/Reward (Cosmodrome, platforming-heavy; recommended Power 1450 in older guides, three Dusk Captains, then a Fallen Nest).
8. Return to Commander Zavala in the Tower.
