History of A Matter of Time

Overview

A Matter of Time is a Legendary quest from Season of Dawn given by Ikora Rey in the Tower Bazaar. Its steps lead to Osiris on Mercury and to the The Sundial arena activity. The quest is older, so details may have changed since release.

Walkthrough

1. Speak with Ikora Rey in the Tower Bazaar. She sends you to look into a disturbance on Mercury.
2. Find Osiris on Mercury. He steps out of a small triangular portal near the Sundial.
3. Defeat Cabal on the Tangled Shore to recover 50 Sundial Components. Solar kills give more components than normal kills. Reported per-kill counts vary by guide.
4. Bank the Sundial Components at the Tangled Shore obelisk.
5. Collect 50 Light charge by defeating enemies with abilities and your Super, and by collecting Orbs of Light. Bank the charge at the obelisk.
6. Interact with the obelisk to finish its activation and establish its Sundial link.
7. Return to Osiris at the Sundial Spire on Mercury.
8. Enter the Sundial Arena playlist and complete a Sundial run. Osiris asks you to enter the Sundial so he can calibrate it to you.
9. Bring the phased object you found to Osiris at the Sundial Spire.
