Overview
(Heroic) Postmodern Prometheus is the Heroic version of the Adventure Postmodern Prometheus on Echo Mesa. Ikora Rey reluctantly lets Asher Mir try converting the Traveler's energy into synthetic Light, at the Lost Oasis near Terrabase Charon.
Heroic Adventures were a Year 1 feature: each week the destination of the active Flashpoint had its Adventures flagged as Heroic, in the rotation European Dead Zone, Nessus, Tangled Shore, Io, Mercury, Titan, Mars (per player reports). They are launched from the destination map, or from the NPC who offers the Adventure (Asher Mir). The game lists them at a nominal 750 Power; the standard Adventure recommendation is not stated in sources, and the game data does not state a separate Heroic difficulty. Players describe them as only modestly harder than the normal version. Heroic completions count towards the Wayfarer seal triumphs. Sources disagree or are sparse on Heroic-specific rewards; none are documented beyond the normal Adventure's.
Encounters and mechanics
- Collect the Traveler's energy.
- Calibrate Asher's test equipment.
- Protect the equipment from Vex (Goblins, Minotaurs, Cyclopes) and Taken. The experiment fails: only the Traveler can grant Light. The title nods to Frankenstein's subtitle and an X-Files episode.
Rewards
Completion counts towards the Wayfarer seal; the base Adventure Postmodern Prometheus has the same story and steps. No Heroic-specific loot is documented in sources.
